I love Toni Morrison. I know at this point of the novel people get put off from just how horrific it is, but it really is for a purpose. You can tell when an author is writing "trauma-porn" vs. an actual perpective of lived and experienced and true trauma. Morrison's writing, even the descriptions that make you put Beloved down, truly satisfy an intellectual need rather than one that is basic and cruel in nature.

I'm already in a bad mood and this bs is not helping. Im close to tears.
