actually loving this so far even tho i was super super confused in the beginning. i felt like i had to memorize keri lake's glossary at the very beginning and wasn't at all a fan of that. but then the story went on and she started explaining stuff in the writing so now it's better. i love the plot, it's super interesting

alex aster's favorite words to describe isla are 'fool' and ''foolish'' because yes, isla is often an idiot

actually loving this book even tho it can be a little confusing in some places. also, there's sometimes way too much description between some dialogue and it's annoying because now i have to go reread the last thing that was said. tbh isla has a tendency to be annoyingly stupid and selfish when she should be really smart considering all the sh terra and poppy put her through. im amazed really

DNF. awful series. basic storyline. the gods seem more like douchy regular men instead of gods.

So far, this Greek mythology retelling sucks. The author definitely humanizes Hades and Apollo more than she should, instead of keeping them as gods like they should be. That just gives this book the feeling of a regular story with a girl sleeping with regular human men, not gods. Also, I think it's cool that Elyse has powers from Zeus but that whole thing could've been developed a lot better.

so far i don't hate the book. for once, the fmc isn't unbearable from the start, unlike the fmc from court of the vampire queen. garrett and diesel are lowkey annoying and honestly if i were in that universe, id be waiting for the day that diesel dies.

a difficult read. too many words on the page and a little slow and boring. feeling like im going to DNF...

kayla has been ok the entire time, but in just this last chapter, im questioning her distrust in having a complete security system for her obviously messed up house. like why do you not want one but then get all paranoid 'cause of not seeing who or what is behind all of what occurs when you're home alone??? also the mmc aiden's pretty privilege is really prevalent here so far tbh. both are hiding some big secrets too

i looked it up and this is a series, but each of the books are standalones 😭i wish this was a whole series that revolved around the story of this book 😭😭

not bad so far. the author found away to include billie eilish and cillian murphy in her story. i don't really blame her...about billie. also, i'm questioning the author's naming abilities. who names their fmc neve? it's just one letter away from naming someone "never," and that's as bad as naming someone "cove" or "townes." i like the story so far. neve isn't unbearable, thankfully. the mmcs are good so far too

DNF. ophelia is too cringe and some of her thoughts and behaviors give me the ick. the same goes for frankie. horrible name too

Slow plot, not really anything interesting happening here. Also, the characters' names are too old for me to really think of them as younger people--Amy and Colin. Author sometimes has too much detail in areas and scenes drag on. There's plenty of smut thus far, but sometimes they have too much irrelevant descriptions in them or just too much going on to keep up. Not sure how to explain it
