Its destroying me, bawling after each chapter. 10/10, would recommend.

The Haenyeos of Jeju island were hard-core! Its refreshing to read about a culture respecting a group of women who lead and completely dominated a field of work.

I've been enjoying my recent delving into historical fiction books, but the more I read the more I understand that I know nothing. In this case, Spain and its civil war that occured not so long ago. I don't enjoy reading about war and the ugliness the prevails with it. Hemingway's style is enough to keep me interested despite that fact. I plan to read more from him after this.

I've wanted to read this ever since I read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" but its taken 10 years to be able to emotionally recover from that one to be able to do so. 80 pages in and it looks like its going to be another 10 years of healing ahead.

Ugh, I started this early summer and lost interest due to the cliched characters and plots (i might just be getting too old to relate to the 17 year old perspective of "yeah, i could totally save the world right now" like, girl...be so for real right now). But, I cant leave a book unfinished, so here we gooo

It's so whacky I love it, but don't ask me what's going on in this book cuz I don't know, but Thor, Loki and Odin are in this and its also a murder mystery?? Idk, but I'm on the side of the suspicious refrigerator.
