This book has me deep in my feelings. I read 40% in one sitting because I physically cannot not put it down! The writing is so sharp, so layered, so painfully real. Every emotion feels earned.

And the complexity??? At this point I hate everybody, but at the same time I can’t even be mad.

I am stressed, invested, and unwell. 😩

I’m struggling to engage with this bc Reece irritates me so much.

This is a story about adults rebuilding after past relationships and a reminder that love comes when it’s least expected.

So far it lacks enough character development for me to feel invested, and the dialogue is unnatural. For example in conversation Brie asks about Kaleb’s past occupation and his response is “Correct.” A more appropriate response would be “yeah”.
