Best book ever idc if I haven’t even finished it. I don’t think I’ve ever read something that has taught me this much. I feel like I can’t reread it enough. I’ll learn something new each time I do

I love love love this book and the raw emotion that Hurston preserved in her transcription*
*I’m not sure if “transcription” is the right word? A lot of this seems like it had to have come from an audio recording.

Phenomenal narrative storytelling right from the beginning

This book is very very interesting! There are many characters to keep up with and the author is very long-winded to get to the point but I enjoy it because that’s different for me.
