Ahhhhhhhhhhh I love this book so much! I need to rant about it to my siblings. So much discussion.

I am in love with this novel.

Starts out strong with a great hook! I love each of the unique characters and the vibrant setting. Dragons and steampunk? Count me in!

I just read the first two chapters. I knew I would love Paxton from the snippets that Heidi shares online, and I was right. He has a good sense of humor!

The world building is outstanding! So many layers, distinct races with distinct types of people within each race, mythology from multiple races!, multiple POVs! I got to the 80% done mark and the book twisted so hard I personally felt like the bad guy stabbed me in the back. I was not okay for several hours and ranted to my friends about the unfairness of it all. Amazing author, amazing book!

The ending of the second chapter almost made me want to throw the book out the window with how hard it twisted. I read six more chapters right after. This is the book I've always wanted.

Just a few chapters in and I'm already hooked. I love Zahn's vibrate characters! The way he weaves in the backstory without it feeling like an info dump is masterful!

This book has already made me laugh out loud three times.

Loving this story!

I am enjoying this book mostly because of the strong character and her no bullshit attitude. I don't understand the intros to the chapters, they seem out of sync with the rest of the story timeline wise.

I'm totally loving this book. Musically magic is some of my favorite kind and this has such a pure heartfelt feeling, you can't help but be pulled in.

Must me read in small doses. Not for the faint of heart.

So far this book has proved to be entertaining. Good McCoy and Kirk snark.

A strange, odd book. Almost reminds me of a gender swapped Jane Eyre. Gothic.

This book has a different feel from the Brasada Bandits which was written 20 years later, but still fun.
