I've enjoyed many of Barbara Kingsolver's books, and so far this one is no exception. The characters she develops are incredibly complex, and I find myself exploring new points of view every time I pick up one of her books.

Only on chapter two but this book is both well written and emotionally draining. All that knowledge...

This time, I’m reading them with a purpose

You might imagine that i was a bit surprised to learn that the book club i just joined is reading this book this month. Its actually quite good so far - an interesting story about identity and expectation.

Most people that I talk to are surprised I haven’t read this one yet, so here it goes...

Ok, so I'm going to finish this book. But any basis that the ideas here have in science is entirely obscured by the ridiculous anthropomorphism. Yes, it is possible to compare trees and humans. But that does not mean that tree wrinkles are like human wrinkles, except in the broad sense that they look vaguely similar and both increase with age. That's all.

I keep telling myself that I should just check two or three books from this series out at a time, and then only getting one and finishing it in a day. Its just so nice to really be reading again!

Im enjoying the writing style and form so far, along with an interesting story.

Why do I not reread this book more? It is one of my favorite books.

You should absolutely never read this book as quickly as I am for this work project. Definitely going to re-read later, over the course of many days as it is intended to be read.

So many people have recommended this book to me (including myself because it looks awesome) that it only makes sense for me to start on it! Loving it so far - the use of personal narrative and tree stuff makes it really engaging and it's well written.

AAAHHH I'm finally reading it! Done with the first act and I love it so far, it took a few minutes to get used to the screenplay format but after that it's a fun story!

I've only read chapters 1,5, and 7 so far but I'm definitely going to go back and read everything because this book is fantastic.
