I have never been more excited for a book in my life

So I read this book in high school like 8 years ago, so I remember none of it.

There was just a plot twist that I forgot about that made me put the book down and stare at the wall fr

So,,, they just introduced a character named Abigail Hobbs. And if she becomes important to the plot, that may be a problem as that is the same name as the most doomed character of all time from the tv show Hannibal.

Very interested in seeing how this book gets me to root for even one of the potential love interests bc BOTH of these men suck

My god can CG Drews write a plot twist. My flabbers are well and truly gasted.

I fear that I simply don’t trust Bren. I hope that I’m wrong, but there’s something off about him

Yall I really needed that 2010’s YA fantasy vibe and my god this book is hitting the nail on the head

Why is it that when I get into reading a book of a specific genre I IMMEDIATELY want to be reading a different genre?

Like, this is a good thriller/mystery so far but my brain is telling me that we want fantasy now. Brother we just finished a fantasy book, what do you mean???

Ngl I’m kinda struggling with this one.

I think it’s the fact that we’re only a quarter of the way through the book and they’re already together. I like my romances with HEAVY pining and yearning, and that is simply not this book I fear.

The Molly plotline in these books is going to kill me dead I s2g. It’s not as bad in this book as it was in the last one but COME ON

At least it gave Burrich back to me for a bit so I guess it gets points there.

But also I think it’s really impressive that when Fitz is being influenced by the skill it’s such a series of subtle changes that even I don’t notice until Fitz does.

This book is so aggressively fine. I’m somehow deeply intrigued and incredibly bored at the same time.

Gabe and Holland are giving the exact opposite vibe as Scarlett and Julian from Caraval, and y’know what I’m having a p good time

Shout out to the Native American vampire book for making me cry that was so cool and fun.

I am deeply and truly unwell about these two.

ANYWAY one thing that I really enjoy about CG Drews books is that there is always some kind of reason as to why the main character might be detached from reality and can explain what’s going on outside of the supernatural but in this book it’s so different from Don’t Let The Forest In which is so impressive to me.

I forgot how good CG Drews’ writing was my god. The way they describe things makes me feel sick but like in a good way?
