book so bad i'm 1/3 in and i already have four pages on my notes app about everything i hate about it.

also, i thought it was so weird how preston heard effy's story and then talked about how she deserved more than the boys from college... like yes, she does, but it was so random, i felt like i had skipped over a page accidentally.

(but i love preston. he's such a soft boy)

this has been such a mixed bag for me... the story itself is interesting, the atmosphere is great, i love how it is written with us not knowing if effy is crazy or truly seeing things, but at the same time is so slow. like, 55% percent of the book and i've barely seen any actual development with the story or the character.

can't believe i'm finally reading again!!!! i always get a slump at the beginning of the year, but this time i really thought i wouldn't read at all this month.

the book is good so far! nothing special, but it's grabbing my attention at least. really want to see more interactions between jack and hazel.

niki lauda will always be THAT guy. probably one of the drives who most represents formula one and the spirit of motorsport as a whole.

the way i said i'd start this book and then immediately got sick 😭 is this some sort of bad omen???

i know i'm late to the hype train, but my friend picked this up and immediately put down due to the trigger warnings (more as in "i'm not currently crazy enough for this" way than because she was actually trigged) but it actually ended up getting my attention, so here i come!

the way jane is like "i can excuse you being a horse, but i draw the line at you being an impolite one" is HILARIOUS.

she's like transforming into a horse? sure.
making me leave my room just because you transformed inside of it and you're too big to leave through the door? outrageous!

i dnf'd this like a year ago simply because i wasn't in the mood for it, but i'm craving a funny book and i'm confident this one will make me laugh out loud! i remember very few things about it, just that i loved the narrators and the writing style <3

this feels like a patchwork of every single popular fantasy book from the last 10 years... it's not original whatsoever

i was so scared of this becoming too dark after the cliffhanger from the last book, and im soooo glad that it's still very very silly and fun 😭 gosh, i love these characters, i love evie!!!! my baby girl!!!

wow, if it isn't me picking up my *checks note* fourth book to try to get out of this reading slump! i have read a grand total of four books over the past two months, and i can't handle it anymore. i need to live vicariously through book characters or i'll go insane.

about the book: it's great so far! a little slow at the beginning, but once rachel price reappears, it starts to get good.

so far so good! i like the characters and i'm excited for the romance <3

my first ashley poston book and i just read the prologue but her writing is MAGICAL oh my god i think i'm in love

i'm officially in a book slump :((( i've read one single book in june and i can't bring myself to finish this one or crown of midnight..... any of you got book recs to get over a book slump? i can't go another month with it, i will go insane.
