Eileen Iaconangelo is 10% done with The Count of Monte Cristo
have to put this aside; will mark as finished but will not. Too plot driven and dialog predictable. Best for younger reader

Collection of essays that I revisit. One on Animal Farm relevant to new book Churchill and Orwell. Food for thought.

Well written. Setting is Chechnya nineties to present pictured as dystopian society. Current articles on Ramzan, leader in Chechnya, mesh with story in a disturbing way. Hope author knows how to bring this story to a conclusion

Almost finished this incredible book; couldn't put it down. Dian Fosseys detailed observations of gorillas in their natural environment are riveting. The movie misrepresented this dedicated, intelligent woman and in no way could compare with this account. I have not yet finished so hope the real story doesn't end the same as the Hollywood version.

Eileen Iaconangelo is on page 101 of 317 of The Buried Giant
Allegory takes place in prehistoric Britain. So far the plot is interesting and fast paced. Small moments of wisdom from characters that have lost their memories. There's all the elements of a quest with a treasure to uncover.
