This is exactly what I needed. Been a slow start to the year with all my books boxed up from the move but we’re back on it now!

Okay! We are onto something here. This is the only book I didn’t box up in the move and I’m just going to say this is a memoir I can appreciate. Looking forward to seeing this story unfold

This book is throwing me for a loop. I like it but it’s not what I want to read. Trying to start the year with the few I need to finish so I’m onto my last sprint tomorrow.

I think my issues with this book are less about the book itself and more of my expectations.

It reads and feels like a screenplay at times, and I’m not sure if that’s by design, a chance error because of some translation issue, or simply just the speed of the book itself, but I’m pretty sure my issues can likely be rolled up under the big beautiful umbrella of “it probably would be better as a TV show”

Tough book to jump back into. I was so excited when I got this but I’ve been so nervous to read it. I don’t know if I manifested being underwhelmed or if it’s just karma for even thinking it, but I don’t love it.

Very well written. I’m just in a slump.

I see why everyone likes this book. It’s not as stupendous as I thought it’d be but it’s accessible and entertaining and that’s a good combo.

Good, haven’t had a chance to really get into it but I like it off the rip!

Only started with the prologue and chapter one. I am immensely excited for this book. Give me anything about data and I’m hooked. The prologue was very engaging and chapter one sets up what I think could be my favorite non-fiction of the year.

This book is written with such passion it’s a hard story to read and not feel emotion.

Its relevance is incredibly important as these events are unfolding daily, I just wish it was accompanied by numbers.

That’s such a harsh thing to say facing the severity of the book’s setting, but my brain responds to numbers.

I wasn’t sure what to think as I started this. I was definitely feeling excitement as I purchased it. This is a topic I think we need to have more candid conversations about.

I wasn’t expecting such a first hand perspective. My thoughts in getting this book were that it would have more accounts of specific events, but the writing is very well done and the story is relevant and direct. Looking forward to more.

I initially got this book amid a lot of excitement to read it. It’s an interesting premise and a unique story. I’ve since seen a lot of reviews that brought apprehension into the conversation.

Overall it’s about what I expected it to be through the start of the book. Hoping things pick up some through the remainder of the story.

This is exactly what I want out of my non-fiction. Entertaining storytelling with plenty of information. This book is delightful and engaging, and Gladwell does an amazing job tying disparate stories together in a nice, neat package.

This is my current reattempt at getting more non-fiction into the mix and I am so thrilled I picked this book. I just completed part one and it’s much better than I’d hoped. What a great storyteller and engaging series of topics Malcolm Gladwell relates between. If you want a book that’ll pique your interest, this is a great candidate!

Good, not great, worth a read if you need something to cleanse the palette between choices.

This book is substantially different than I expected. Excited to rip through it over the next few days!

Quick start Update!

I’ve been so bad about updating on this book. Hopefully I complete it this weekend. 🙏🏻

We’re cookin with gas now. The Aelfinn/Eelfinn plot is interesting. Seeing the events of what the show could have been makes me a tad angry but it’s a strong addition to the series

Semester is done so progress here we come!

Starting off strong.

It’s funny how many scenes from the show are slapped together across so many chapters.

The details missed are so much more entertaining than that garbage they pushed out of Amazon.

So close to the finish. So much better than the shoe. Second and third books showed up last night. Ready to sign away my next 14 weeks to this series.

I keep forgetting to update when I go to bed but I’m reading to the point of exhaustion. So good. 10/10 recommend. What was I doing ignoring everyone’s advice to start this series? What was Amazon doing ruining this source material? How can an adrenaline rush just keep going for 400 pages? This is so good.

This whole series makes me wonder if it was ever worth learning letters. Is reading fun? Not really. Is the story bad? Not really. Am I enjoying it at all? Not really.
