Ragnar is the best character of the trilogy.

Best intro of the trilogy. We see Darrow in a broken state, questioning his morals, purpose, and relationships. His evolution is quick. Second part is about to get gritty.

Darrel’s development is appealing. The spectrum of character is greater than ‘Red Rising.’ I’m reminded why this is the highest rated book out of the trilogy. Truly a masterpiece.

Things are heating up

Continues around 2 years from the end of Red Rising. I am so excited to read this trilogy again.

Reading bc the cover reminds me of Destiny.

Further topics on autonomous weapons, “quantom computing” used to steal from bitcoin wallets. Most recent chapter talks ab the ai shift in the workforce.

Robots will take over the world.

Not really entertaining for me tbh but hasn’t been a bad read. Written as a letter to the author’s newborn, Coates speaks about the realities of being black in America. The theme of “Body” is repetitive, but his definition is more than anatomy. Overall kinda boring but retrospective.

So far I’ve read examples involving education, health care, deepfakes and VR/AR/IR. Commentary is very intriguing. Almost a necessary read since AI will play a larger role in our day to day lives as we age.

Read the long intro. Considered science fiction, but Kai-Fu plans to implement his knowledge of AI learned from over 40 years of experience into multiple stories to somewhat predict what AI will have done to us in 20 years, hence 2041

Read essays with similar themes of this. Focused around the living experience of a black person growing up in Baltimore. Thoughts and experiences are shared about school and streets. Insightful for sure, sometimes feels like a pity party.
