This is a superior read for those who seek to understand the bizarre gender bending fad of our day. This is an incredible piece of scholarship and nuanced incite, connecting the dots in history that explain the current zeitgeist. Philosophy and theology matter. Scott Carlin is on page 25 of 320 of The Vision of the Anointed: Self-Congratulation as a Basis for Social Policy
A timeless work as it identifies/exposes the hypocrisy/dishonesty of the self “anointed” class of tyrants who claim a (faux) moral high ground to control/dominate the mass of humanity who seek quiet, uncomplicated lives. Certain members of our political class are infected with this disease and have no one (especially the media) to hold them to account. They are perpetually applauded for “good intentions.”

Ayn Rand has a unique writing style, mixing prose with rich imagery and nuance. This is a must read for anyone still mesmerized by the allure of socialism.
