… that’s why the first couple of weeks in the White House were a bumbling mess, nobody made plans thinking they were actually going to win. But then his narcissistic ego started being stoked with world leaders contacting him, the press hanging on every word… And now he feels like he should never have to leave because he is the most important man in the world.

At the beginning of the book we hear about how he didn’t actually think he was going to win, he was just using the coverage for his brand. He assured Melania she could go back to living a fairly quiet life after the loss. Dan Junior said his dad looked like a ghost when he found out he was winning, Melania was in tears… The bad kind….

I am married to a new director. I have been around newsrooms consistently since 1998 both were my own job and for his as a reporter than an editor and now a new director. And this author is fucking obnoxious. She’s obviously been in a newsroom, but she has no fucking clue how they run.

This is honestly one of the dumbest books I’ve ever read. Repetitive, a lot of TELLING, not SHOWING, and unrealistic dialogue.

The world building and magic system is a bit confusing but having read MANACLED, I know who the characters really are, what the word really is.

This book is not good. It’s like the author was just testing to cash in again on a series that’s pretty good. Glorified rape, incessantly calling the MFC “doll face”, and sick joy in being brutalized makes for a nauseous combination.

Author should have stopped with the last book.
