Wow. I’m only 15 pages in and this book is already so sad. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a feminist through and through, and this book further instills my beliefs in that philosophy. When are women going to stop being second class citizens in the eyes of the medical field and honestly the world?

And the plot thickens…AGAIN! I swear every time I think I have this book and author figured out and I can predict them, a curveball just get thrown at you. Page 165 was unexpected and I audibly let out a reaction. Hopefully I can finish this tonight. It’s a good book so far, it’s not anything too crazy, but it is a good read none the less!

This book is good so far, nothing too crazy, but nothing of the mundane either. I am noticing that Jeneva’s writing style is far different than that of her other books. I wouldn’t say that it has more “Depth” than others, she doesn’t skimp on details in any of her stories. No, this book just seems to have an extra layer to it?

It is still early in the book, but the I feel as though I am already emotionally attached to this story. The way Jeneva writes about the sister who is in active addiction in this story cuts deep. I wish I would have known about that before I started reading(,: oh well.

OK, so far this book has a lot of potential, granted I am literally only on page 17 but Jeneva is becoming one of my favorite authors so I know that at any point a plot twist could happen! So far, I am not a fan of the brother, he is very pompous, but I love the way that Jeneva truly embodies every character in her writing and makes you feel like they are real. Multiple POV’s are hard to, but she’s 💯.

I’ve read this book before, but I am slowly collecting the books that I think helped shaped me into the person I am today. My goal is to get physical copies of each and have them in my house. ((:

I am literally so f***ing scared right now. Disregard everything. I said my last update. I have no clue what’s going on. I really feel like I’m watching a movie right now.

OK, damn this book just made me Hella scared. Page 80 is actually terrifying low-key. In like a weird creeping sense though that kind of fear that takes you a second to lock in.😭😭😭

Okay the plot has officially thickened and the turns have been made. I like that this book got right to it. It doesn’t feel rushed or unrealistic and I am excited to see where the author takes this. It really could go any way as of right now. I have my own theories but I hope I’m wrong.

So far, this book seems to heavily repeat itself. I knew a lot about this case before I started reading and it seems like the author is really trying to stretch what little we know about this man into a big book. I feel like it almost does no justice to the victims because the entire point of this case is that we don’t know! The pictures are very graphic in it which again I knew before going in!

I have been waiting for “1984” and “animal farm” by George Orwell to come in the mail! In the meantime, I have picked up “alas Babylon” by Pat Frank. My father read this book as a child, and he recommended it to me! I read “animal farm” by George Orwell, when I was probably 14 so I’m excited to see how my views and opinions have changed on it now that I have aged!

Well….I’m not saying the book is good (because it’s NOT) however, I will say my interest has definitely started to grow…normally this would be a good thing but I have less then 100 pages left. Maybe I only THINK the book is getting interesting because I’m near the end? I will say though, this book holds back nothing. It’s definitely a heart wrenching book.

OK I know how much I have ragged on this book and don’t get me wrong. I still hate it but I am starting to see the plot shifting. I’m not going to spoil it or anything but I believe the time jump may have worked in the authors favor. don’t get me wrong. It’s still terrible writing and it’s absolutely rushed, but I’m starting to see my interest growing.

Well once again the writing is absolutely rush, and now the author has taken two skipping over literal years in the book, without so much as a chapter change. This is terrible.

I am very unimpressed with this book so far. The only reason I am still reading it is because I’m far enough, and now that I have to know how it ends. I’m hoping that all the sudden it starts to get better and makes sense but I’m not hopeful. The dialogue in this book is absolutely atrocious, and reminds me of something that I would’ve submitted in junior high for an English class.
