Wow, this one is wild. The characters feel like they definitely exist and I feel horrible for Michael. I don't know whats going to happen yet, but I can tell this one is going to hurt at the end.

The intensity of this book is wild, and it's a bit out there, but I'm resisting sleep at night just to continue my reading with this one. It's funny, a bit gory, heavily engaging and absolute chaos. And on top of that, it's not your typical werewolf story. A lot more to it than just a simple werewolf story. If you loved the creepiness of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, give this a try too.

As someone who's watched the film adaptation about 5 times in my life but have never read this, this book is still finding ways to surprise me. Not that I think Annie Wilkes was sane or anything in the film, but there's an entirely new level of unhinged that's represented in Kings written version of the character. Absolutely terrifying.

Just started this last night. Curious to see how it differs from the movie adaptation. I loved Kathy Bates in the role and I can see why she was chosen for the part of Annie Wilkes. So far the book is thrilling, bringing plenty of dread for our main character, Paul. And we the readers can clearly feel what he's going through thanks to some wonderful storytelling by Stephen King.

Interesting so far. Hendrix is doing a good job storytelling, making our main characters feel helpless and hopeless during challenging times for them. It hasn't been scary in a horror sense yet, but feeling like you can't fix something in the case of our main characters is strongly depicted here, in a dread inducing way at least for me.

FANTASTIC! Another wonderful read from McKinty (started with The Chain). The pacing of this one was an adrenaline injection from the start and it never slowed down for me. Not too fast to help build characters you can find yourself rooting for, rooting against, and a big twist at the end I did not see coming. McKinty's writing is so easy to get into for me, I look forward to more of his books. This was a 5/5 for me.

A friend recommended this. It has no supernatural elements, but I wanted something that would make my heart race. Its been sitting on the shelf for a few weeks and well glad i gave this a shot cause if this book doesn't do just that in the first few pages, I don't know what will. I really hope this read can stay as good as it has. I've never had a problem putting a book down before, this is so well done.

I don't understand. This isn't a book I'd recommend. And yet I can't put it down. It's hard to delve into this brutal dark world as it makes me angry. And somehow, I just keep reading. It's disgusting. And sad. And cruel. And very violent, & yet I'm still reading. So kudos to Augustina for pulling me into this. It isn't an easy read though and still, I'm floating through one nightmare reality to another in this book.

So far, this book is exceptionally well written. It feels so real, but its also one of the darkest books I've read so far. A coworker friend bought this for me for Christmas & said it was the scariest book he'd ever read. After being a little more than halfway through this novel, I can see why. I've seen the film for the movie, but the book dives more into the characters. Once it starts rolling its very gripping.
