Just met Lukas and now have the ick. I feel like he is a major part of the story and
I’m completely torn on whether I want to continue. I was really excited about the beginning but I just feel like he’s going to ruin it for me. HELP!!

I don’t know, the constant use of the words ‘brute’ and ‘Aye’ are really annoying me. Also the insta courage by the fmc is a little unbelievable even for this type of book. I’m the problem I’m sure.

Let’s see what I’ve been missing.

Getting ready to listen to the audiobook and just realized that the cover is basically the same as The Shattered King by Charlie Holmberg and now I’m annoyed for some reason. Wonder which one came first? Both published around the same time.

Listening to the audiobook and it’s just not really keeping my attention so I’ll probably DNF for now.

Ack. I’m not even finished with chapter 3 and I don’t think I can continue.
1. The fmc is a research assistant. A random detective just throws some pictures of a brutally maimed girl at her because he’s interested in some symbols carved in her skin.
2. Let’s go to confession and also randomly ask a priest about some radical religious group from “ancient times” However HE DOES NOT KNOW!!
