Usually I really like Benton’s writing, but for whatever reason I’m having a hard time getting through this book. Finding myself skipping a lot of chapters. The book blurb reads as though it’s about the Late Permian Extinction event but I’m over half way through the book and it feels like it’s barely been discussed?

Re-reading it within the same year. Don’t judge me!

Oof.

I started reading this one about a fortnight ago and forgot to put it on here, oops.

In a pitiful attempt to follow ‘The Unthinkable’, I thought I’d start listening to this one, but so far it feels more like an autobiography of the author’s time in the airforce with some awkwardly inserted examples of survivals against the odds by other people, though they feel remarkably ‘second thought’.

I don’t even know completely what to say. This book is incredible, so far. Completely jarring, but incredible.

Listening to the audiobook of this one. It’s wonderfully written but it’s bleak, even by my standards. Not sure if right now is the right time to be reading this particular book, so we’ll see if I continue or have to put it down for now.

Teddy? Reading fiction? Well, it’s horror, so that’s my other niche. Also it’s an anthology curated by Jordan Peele. I do better with short stories and the first one was great fun - excited for the rest!

One of my favourite movies - kinda wish I’d read the book first, but let’s see how this goes!
