Okay but also this chapter on childhood development & a play-based childhood is also a huge load of evidence against the current American education system bc where is the opportunity to play? Where is the low-stakes environment to discover things when they are being tested and scored on EVERYTHING?

Also not a fan of it being based on evolution bc maybe we were actually just designed that way but I'll let it slide.

Liking part 2 more than part 1. Part 1 was all one long battle. Part 2 has politics and strategy.

I'm liking Darrow's and Lysander's POVs so far -- still trying to get into Lyria's and Ephraim's, but the appearance of a familiar character in Ephraim's helped a bit.

So many perspectives and half of them are brand new characters -- still trying to process this new world after the fallout from morning star, not sure how I feel yet
