Read this on the plane to Japan! The main character has been annoying with the flirting and not admitting she’s in love with the main character but whatever overall the pacing of the story is fast enough that I can still enjoy the book.

Nothing special overall tho. The scene where she gets full attacked and the prince has to take care of her idk mesnt to be emotional i think but it was whatever

It’s nice to see the characters again. Wanted to read a short and chill book and wanted to finalise this series before diving into TOG!!

The progression has been slow.. it’s training arc I guess so it makes sense. The seer scene was interesting but I want them to unpack this more- the fear doesnt seem to actually affect the MC.. also her throwing herself off the cliff is crazy so wtf.

And I can already see them making the main dude gonna fall in love with her smh

I started this book last night and it hasn’t been great. I’m flying through it trying to find out what people like so much about this series😅 The premise of the lie and falsity of the MC’s heroism is … annoying. The love interests are also annoying? I feel like the MC is “so in love” and suddenly “happy to move on” wtf. The Prince of Hearts is also jack-ass stupid vibes. Marisol is too self-pity..

I think I’m soon going to be a bit irked by the main love interest’s transformation into a “good” guy. Not liking that the MC was prevented from using her power but she was a bit of a rebel so she left her castle at night but still didn’t learn to use her magic?

Story is easy to read though, i’ll give it that

Started a fraction today and the worldbuildjng so far has been subtle and interesting. Probably not the biggest fan of the fat list of “stars” and what they represent (basically the roman/greek gods).

Liked the action and mystery so far. Main love interest identified- a bit cringe already ofc theyre “breathtakingly handsome” stfu. MC obviously has big boobs too lmao, buT I’m liking how MC has a rare power

I do not like the mum’s character. She is just too much, the emotions and morals and resolve change so fast.

Listened to audiobook between offsite visits today for work! Thrilling and frustrating all in one.

One of the tropes I dislike the most is MISCOMMUNICATION and there was a bunch of it. Constant interruptions when the MC wanted to say something important.

The ongoing power climb is really cool though, I’m so curious about the forgotten. So annoyed at the internal conflict (it’s too much)

I think the MC’s compassion is nice overall, her flexibility and will in using her powers to help is cool.

Also the recurring mention of the forgotten one is ++++ interesting I WANT TO KNOW MORE.

Good story progression and plot so far. New crown as well WAAAAHHTTT

The romance is growing and I LOVE THE LOVE MESSAGES/LETTERS AAAWWWW. sad about the circumstances.

Very interesting how her magic has is so different and has such capabilities! excited to find out more

- The events are interesting and I enjoy the storyline of power attainment, revenge, love BUT
- The MC continues to fluctuate between this powerful queen to being reluctant to kill, to being so angry she wants to kill everyone, to confident queen to unsure piece of shit. IT’S HUMAN YES BUT THE FLUCTUATION IS TOO MUCH IN ONE MOMENT
- also Luther’s horny for weird things like MC outbursts is weirding me out

Audiobook hours are back in spotify😂 So back on the grind- good listen, just a bit more progress in the story and the dude is dying but nothing crazy/new.

Been a hot minute since I’ve read a book! Some exciting new info and discoveries about the main mystery of the runes and untethered witches.

Some more progress in the relos (MC and side). I’m enjoying the change in perceptions and the way that stigma is being debased.

It’s not a very action packed story line but still written in an intriguing way! Wanting to read more

The action has been thrilling!! Flying through

The beginning of the book was more about setting up the world and the power systems. I enjoyed the different family dynamics they have in the story!

As the story has progressed, they’ve established more of the enemies to lovers trope BUT it’s not majorly ick or cringe, which I feel most books suck at. It’s been a cute progression of interest, mutual gains, friendship.

Am enjoying the depth of the characters.

Listening to the audiobook for this during gym cardio is so funny- I’m out here gasping on the treadmill.

So far the book has led with action! Yippeee- continuing on from the previous. Am excited!!

The pace has picked up so much more. I am enjoying the MC’s position/rank and her friendships/interactions with others in the court (royal) and army (soldiers). More politics and info about the world has been built!

More action now! I like the main character’s determination and the mystery of her powers but the fuckkkk do you mean she gets admitted into the palace to become part of the prince’s court JUST COS SHE CRIED and opened up to him?!?! Not a good plot point in my opinion

Just started- a bit about the main character and her connection with her mother. Reveals some basic lore or background but not much yet

World building has been minimal so far- they’ve introduced the lore. Slower paced book so found this a bit of a challenge cos I like faster pace.

Get to really know the main character’s character, personality, role, and history! Has been very focused on the main girl (whose name I do not recall).

Hoping for world building and magic ASAP

Establishes the characters to an extent. Establishes the history between the families well. Am enjoying the dynamics between friends, lovers, family. Want to see more magic happening but not much yet.
