It’s an okay book. Feels rushed. MC gets thrown into a whole new world of understanding with magic. He takes it all in a bit too easily. There’s too much facts being thrown at the reader which feels like you’re in a class. Lots of facts just for the facts.

Love the series so far but why change the narrators. Almost every book has a different narrator. But this narrator was a really bad choice. She can’t do male voices properly and the whole book feels rushed through it by the narrator. Very annoying.

DNF due to nothing happening. Good narrator.

In the beginning of the book Cole gets way too overbearing and annoying. Hopefully it settles during the rest of the book. Writer lingers too long in explaining feelings.

Half way point, it’s too slow. Not much happening. Good narrator
