Liking this so much that I just bought the physical copy for my book shelves

The characterisation is perfection! H.D. Carlton knows how to write characters!!!! And when you put that with a good plot, you have one hell of a heart felt story!!! 5 stars so far

This is a pretty heavy start but I’m not mad. I like it. I’m enjoying this read so far.

This is …. Different. I’m interested and happy to read but i wouldn’t say it’s anything scary or amazing as reviews seem to suggest at the moment. Still a good 75% to go - sooo… that’s a whole lot of book left. I shall keep reading and see

Wow! This book has sucked me in completely. I am so compelled and gripped. The character work and story telling is fantastic! I’m so moved by this story and don’t want to put it down!

Such an easy read and a heartbreaking start that sits close to my own trauma. Feels like therapy for me atm

I’m enjoying this story, but I do find the magic system and the world building surrounding the magic system itself and its origin a little confusing. I personally think this could have been explained a bit better with less use of the purple prose. Having this book written in plainer English with its complex magic system would made it less taxing and more enjoyable for the reader to comprehend I think.
