This book has lowkey devolved into a bit of a mess, which is a shame because I really enjoyed the start. I assume they’re gonna defeat Bogdana and then peace will be restored. And like that will be it. Oak and Wren were so messy too, but not in the tea way like the previous book, but acc just all over the place

Immediately started binging this last night and I’m defo enjoying tho I do miss Wren’s POV. I still love Oak but I feel a lot of his lore was already touched upon, whereas Wren is in such a new phase of her life and we don’t even get to see it from her perspective. She’s acting very cruel compared to how she was. The engagement?? Omg tea. Love their dynamic tho idk how Oak and Wren will ever get along

HOLD AWN 😍 how has this book suddenly gotten so interesting?? Took so long for everything to make sense but now that it does I’m eating it up. I enjoyed the Court of Moths sequence and Wren believing Oak has been using her all along. Apparently he’s not, but I still think a betrayal is coming and it better be JUICY. Love how unpredictable he is tbh. I do think I’ve guessed the plot twist but it’s ok :,)

Oak and Wren kissing already has me feeling grumpy cuz where was the rest of the buildup? Oak is kind of a dud to me, and this book is just feeling like a bunch of dillydallying. And for Madoc of all people?? Honestly I do not care about saving him enough to be invested, all I care about atp is my girl Wren getting some revenge on her abusive ass mother. Period

Finally getting to this book, will hopefully finish the duology before uni starts even tho I have sm to do oof. Acc enjoying it so far even tho I was annoyed Oak seems to have been reduced to another bratty Prince, just like Cardan was. I’ll give it a chance tho + Suren is b intriguing

lol this title is so fun bcs her surname is Sun and she can disappear. Right now this lowkey feels like knock off ‘I hope this doesn’t find you’ which it’s not, it was literally published before it, but the Henry x Alice dynamic and setting is so similar to it. I hope once we get more into the invisible plot it will take on its own unique flair but rn I’m like eh

Yeah no this book has not taken a turn for the better. They need to get me as editor on all these damn romcoms bcs where the fuck is the romantic development? U can’t just decide in one moment you’re gonna love this other person when u don’t even know them like cmon. Now the humour is gone and the MCs r just horn dogs over each other and I’m like oh why is the book not over yet? YAWN

This book was genuinely making me laugh out loud, which is rare, and the dialogue between characters felt and still mostly feels so real but that sex scene… wtf was Brendan saying?? Genuinely had me cringing and laughing not out of pleasure but pain. Unfortunately the romance happened hella fast and I miss the initial chemistry but oh well, this is so typical of romcoms. Still love Piper as a character tho

I love fairytale retellings but this one isn’t grasping me in any particular way. I just keep thinking of the faerie from Holly Black instead cuz I just read Cruel Prince too soz 😭

Koga better start being a more considerate friend to Aya in this volume or I will be v upset

Cardan admitting he loves Jude and immediately walking off had me laughing but also wish they had a bit more build up, they were so distant with each other before it. I would’ve loved more vulnerability to SHOW the love rather than just saying it but alas their relationship has never been about raw honesty. Intrigued to see the ending but not majorly on the edge of my seat. Waiting to read the sequels atp

Jude and Cardan reunion incomingggg yayyy can they pls just admit they love each other even tho they’re evil cuz at least they’re even now? 😭 Taryn continues to pmo and lowkey Vivi has too cuz girl u have no understanding of ur human gf even tho you’re the one that insists on being in the mortal realm. I’m ready to fight Madoc too bcs he views Oak as just a tool is his schemes, like get away from my son

JUDE & CARDAN BANGING 😜🙏🏼 I used to pray for times like this. The scene was so satisfying tho they do have hella shit to work through if they acc wanna be in a relationship but ig we’ll ignore that… this book doesn’t feel as intriguing as the first but I still really enjoy the characters and setting. If everything comes together well by the end it will maybe still b on par with the first

I do think the coup was a bit of a let down when it came to action sequences but Jude finding Cardan and now threatening to kill him??? INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS! I’m having so much fun reading this, and I could shower it with many more compliments but tbh I just wanna get back to reading 😝 so byeee

So happy to finally get immersed in this world, it is absolutely delivering so far. Rich with magic and a strong main character, I can definitely see how this builds up to be a well loved series. I hate Cardan with a passion cuz Jude has been through so much. I feel her desire for vengeance in myself (lol already invested) I don’t love the bully to lover pipeline but I can’t wait to see how it’ll b portrayed

After my emotional break from this book we’re so back! I enjoyed the changes made to Briseis’ storyline, was scared that would get fucked up too, but thankfully no. I don’t know if this book will end up moving me the way I was hoping it would but I still find it very entertaining.

Honestly was such a drag in the middle,
we already knew how Bunny died and then it was just the typical post death shenanigans commencing, yawn. BUT once that settled down and there was room for new developments I actually started to feel immersed. Not Charles and Camilla acc committing incest tho… EW. And honestly it’s treated quite causally in the book like wtf. No one has real reactions in this damn book

Why is almost every character insufferable in this. I get that it’s on purpose or something but idk how to put up with it. There’s such an air of entitlement. I like some of the drama but I feel like we already know that it’s going to fizzle out and not go anywhere bcs they get away with the murder? Hoping to be surprised cuz the book is so raved about but we’ll have to see.

Sigh, this romance ended up happening way too fast. There is so much more that could have been done with the yearning and tension before their first kiss. They’d barely had any deep convos before it happened and were very quickly reduced to the horn dogs that a lot of hetero romances feature. Just bcs y’all do the deed doesn’t mean you acc know anything about the other. Will say the spicy scene was unique tho

Love thisssss!! the dialogue is superb n fun, all the added layers of Georgiana and Cat knowing each other in the past, but having very different backgrounds. I fear not that this book may eat 😼 let’s go lesbians 💯

Eating this up because I feel like it’s written in such a dynamic, fun way, and it’s quite character driven. I believed Harriet would know about her vampire abilities but apparently she doesn’t?? Also this is so heavy with lesbian undertones which I loveeeee

This book is class up until Vampire Lucy gets killed, then it’s just a lot of yap from Van Helsing and Mina advocating for men’s rights cuz men are the best thing ever created (side eye). ofc she’s only able to appreciate them properly bcs she also has a “man” brain which is why she’s acc smart enough for them.

Impeccable writing, feels so natural and human, plus with really interesting characters and dynamics amongst them
