This book could so not be a drag but IT IS. Ugh. Also find the horniness of these characters annoying. Half of this book has been boring buildup. Plus the repetitiveness of the time travel aspect is not it. Una’s perspective was not rlly needed.

Owen is lowk an annoying MC buttt now that it’s been revealed that he’s literally being whipped through past and future on repeat, a lot of stuff makes sense. This is a very interesting format for a book, making it all feel a bit disjointed, however I appreciate the uniqueness. In the start it was also very much giving war propaganda but I’m hoping the point is that this will be dismantled slowly 🧐

This book has been v hyped up so I wanna give it a try but erm why would I care about a male protagonist 🤣🤣 kidding 🤡 I was hoping for Una’s POV but the format is different from what I was expecting and I’m lost but curious as to how things will progress into a romance.

After witnessing a gay hate crime (The song of Achilles chp 13) this book has been not only a breath of fresh air but a literal lifeline for me. I didn’t even realise it was set in Ireland like hell yeah! It’s funny and it’s endearing and it’s just the thing I needed to bring joy back into my reading. Hope we get a bit more backstory on Razi cuz he’s such a sweetie. Defo a good slow burn, love the dynamics

Absolutely disgusted and sick to my stomach, shedding tears from the discomfort. This book has suddenly done a complete 360. Wdym I just read an v explicit sex scene of Patroclus with Deideimia (done just bcs he felt bad for her?) Achilles had been compelled by a GOD to do this, but Patroclus seemed to have COMPLETE free will. Literally just a cheating scene from 1st perspective. What the actual fuck? Boutta dnf :(

The yearning built up over 6 years had me clawing at my enclosure in the best way possible omg they are so precious but I just know everything is about to go to shit and I’m honestly not ready. Certain lines clearly foreshadow the end and I’m already fucking crying atp

More straightforward than I was expecting, but also just a whole bunch of random dream sequences and Freud’s analysis of them. How can we be so sure his meanings are even correct? Feels a bit like a pseudo science but I kind of like it. Freud is lowk giving spiritual girlie, tho ik that’s not what this is supposed to be at all

Now thissss is what I call sapphic yearning. The prose is impeccable, the sci-fi, time travelling, war elements are so unique and interesting, I seriously have not read something so intricate in a while

Feels like a bit of a drag iwl, tho the Egyptomania aspect is hella interesting. They go over certain scenes multiple times and explain the same sensations of the “creature” creeping them out a bit too often imo.

Ok I am starting to find certain moments quite endearing, maybe I’m getting more accustomed to the vibes and writing style. The little field trip was very adorable, but I still feel another 200 pages of this will be a lot… cuz other moments r still just kind of cringy 😬

After the sudden change of Rin joining the Cike, with a whole new cast of characters, I had my doubts, but I’m actually enjoying this more than I enjoyed the academy setting. Altan’s development from poised leader to cold commander has been so sad but so juicy. Nezha coming back and apologising to Rin had me in my feels, he better still be alive!! The world and people have really grown on me, I get the hype yall

Kind of tea now that the war has started and Rin is a Speerly plus Jiang is clearly the Gatekeeper?? Idk why I never considered that before. Rin and Nezha teaming up during the battle had me like 👀 wish we got more relationship developments

Instead of striving to read 100 books again this year, I want to actually read chunky big boy books I’ve always been interested in. We’ll see how this goes, but so far TPW is interesting, not too exciting in plot or driven with characters but definitely a well developed world that I’m happy to keep exploring

Damn the smut kind of disappointed. All that build up for what?

Miss Hazelwood is so back bcs the romantic tension is slapping in thissss yes ma’ammm I’m enjoying the pacing and outside plot of the revenants too

This is fun so far and I enjoyed the initial development given to understand what we’re dealing with

Starting to read this a day after I had an emotional breakdown is crazy for my mental health, so I think I will need to read a romcom book alongside it, but in general this is well written so far and it breaks my heart knowing it’s a true story but is all the more important to read bcs of that!

This is finally getting more interesting and I see a good slow burn romance vibe potentially developing between Viv and Tandry, but we shall have to see how things go.

I feel like I’m lacking banter and real personality in this book. And ngl, the wlw ship that has been introduced has no chemistry so far, but I hope we get some development

Been meaning to read this for forever and I’m happy to finally get into it. Looking forward to how the story develops, though I do fear it may get boring? Hope more depth will be given soon, I want at least some cute entertainment while I get through essay season.

Oh yes, while I’m drowning in college work an essay on grief is exactly what’s going to boost my mood 😃👍🏼 odd choice on my part but it’s still a good enough distraction
