the characterization is phenomenal for everyone. not sure how i feel beyond the whole thing feeling kind of sus (in a good way, giving uncanny)

def more of a character-driven book rather than plot-driven, but it remains to be seen where this is *going*

love that it’s throwing us directly into a mystery instead of doing the bulk of the world building at the beginning with a bunch of main character dumping
