What’s with this miscommunication trope?? She’s straight up lying to him. Ugh

I’ve decided I really don’t like these books. The writing has gotten sloppier as it goes on. The characters aren’t even having meaningful interactions. The glaring contradictions are frustrating. And the whole, here is a problem that should be difficult to solve but nope a paragraph later is the solution and moving on…

Seriously considered DNF’ing.. but after spending 20 minutes on Reddit carefully spoiling the resolution of her and Niko’s relationship, I’ll continue reading. I’m not gonna like it but maybe I can make up an alt ending in my head??

I think it’s a me thing but I’m so bored reading this. The other books in the series I loved! This one can’t seem to keep my attention. Maybe because I didn’t read them back to back? Idk. I’ll probably finish but it’s gonna take me a sec.
