Only 355 more pages. I literally hated Shallan UNTIL this chapter… and now it’s switching POVs and I just want to know what’s happening with Shallan. Brandon Sanderson and I are seriously gonna fight after this book.

GO BACK TO KALADIN, OH MY GOLLY! BRANDON! WHY?! WHY DO I HAVE TO READ 30 PAGES IN THIS GIANT BOOK BEFORE I GET TO KALADIN AGAIN!? 😭😭😭 WHY DO YOU HATE ME?

I… I think Kaladin is the most well written MMC I’ve ever read. I’m not even kidding. Dalinar also… but Kaladin is just… different.

Jasnah is something of a hypocrite right now. I like her somewhat, but I also find her annoying.

I just want it to be the MC’s POV’s again 😭

Cannibalism seemingly has different effects on people in this book than in reality. Unfortunately, cannibalism isn’t just some addiction that you can recover from like it is in this book. Giving the author some grace though bc initially they said it could have been caused by the radiation from the war.

I’m in love with this book (most of the people that know me know I LOVE beauty and the beast, Korean mythology, and mythological k-dramas… and this just so happens to be all of that in one)!!

The vibes of even just the first chapter so far? Immaculate. This is gonna be an amazing book, I already know it.

So far pretty good! Sanderson has a very simple prose, but I like it. Trying to make my way through all of these introductions is hard, and it’s gonna take a minute to get used to the world, but I’m excited for when I do.

Y’all, I’m so sorry for all the random reviews 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was updating my fable and Goodreads today trying to scavenge all the reviews and dates of the books I’ve marked as read (be it from Amazon, StoryGraph, or my old Goodreads account) and put it all together. 😅

I think Goodreads should be like Fable in the fact that you can post a picture or two with your updates. I don’t use Fable bc their guidelines suck (I was reported and banned for saying I didn’t support lgbtqrstuv stuff and whatnot)… but I miss that part.

Im almost done… but we had to rush to TN bc my Grandpa was in the hospital and he passed away shortly thereafter. A lot of stuff has been going on with the funeral and keeping my grandma company, so the hunger games isn’t really something I’m in the mood to read lately. Any lighter/happier book recommendations?

My favorite character died, and my other favorite character that dies in the next book just came in 😭 love that for myself 😭😭😭

Why does Prim get the credit from the fandom (of being the reason the revolution started)? Rue is the real reason. Sure, Katniss volunteered for Prim, but Rue is the reason she rebelled. Rue is the reason for the four not whistle and the solute. Rue is the reason Katniss hates Snow and the Capital. Rue really started everything, not Prim.

I could cry right now

This is probably my favorite book in the series thus far solely because I love the characters 😆 The Shade (MMC) is so funny, sweet, and cocky… but he’s also broken. The characters are definitely working through their flaws, but I love them!

The Cinderella elements are really coming in to play, but it’s far more risky than in the original story… I’m scared I’m going to cry when he finds out… I DONT WANT HIM TO HAVE AN EVEN MORE BROKEN HEART 😭😭😭

I read the first book of this series and loved it (even though everyone knows I can’t stand fae), so I just got the ARC for book two and I am so happy 😆 I love Anastasis Blythes writing!!!
(I wouldn’t recommend this specific series unless you’re over 13-14 though bc it’s darker and more violent—— but if you are that age and want to read her books, I’d read the zheninghai chronicles, they’re great)

Well… she friend-zoned Lateo and for some reason he’s good with that.
Most importantly a certain character… WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE 😭😭😭 WHY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER (beside Lateo ofc) 😩
I don’t like how buddy-buddy she and the prince are getting 😒 back up, boy! I want Lateo, not you 🙄💅🏻

Well… I wish she would shut up. She always talks about being looked down on, but she is such a hypocrite. Eshne breathes and immediately Nadiya hates her… and now she’s full on accusing her. My guess is that Eshne was just practicing for her dance thing she is part of. Also, she says, “to me, a bird is just a bird”, and proceeds to hate Eshnes phoenix. Not to mention how she’s acting with Lateo! Gosh.

So much has happened… namely the fact that Lateo is a horrible liar when it comes to how he feels about Nadiya.
I’m so sick of the Prince. I don’t care if he healed her and whatnot… he’s so annoying! I’m with Lateo… Nadiya should let him hit the Prince. At least once.
I’ve read about 20% this morning, so my thoughts are currently based on the most recent chapters I read.
