You know that part in New Moon, when Edward leaves and Bella engages in all kinds of stupid stuff to hear his voice again? I know this is serious shit and I shouldn't be laughing, but Ilya saying that he's probably smoking so he could hear Shane's voice made me think of that.

I literally finished HR last night, so I have no business forgetting it... But the first few chapters of this had been going so well that I kinda had forgotten how annoying Shane can be.

Leah dropped into the seat next to her husband. "Are we talking about how much we love Ryan?"

Okay, I'll forgive Ms. Reid for that Shane Hollander slip-up in the previous chapter because the last one I finished had Ryan Price. Balance and all that.

The chapter I'm supposed to start right now opens with the words "Shane Hollander". And here I was having a good time so far...

"Too bad Chiron isn't here," Harris joked. "That would cheer everyone up."
Ilya's head shot up, eyes burning with shock and indignation. "Then Chiron would have been on the plane. What the fuck, Harris? He would have been so scared!"

I LOVE HIM. I LOVE ILYA SO MUCH IT'S UNHEALTHY.

Ryan Price being mentioned in the conversation about the plane debacle warms my heart in the weirdest of ways.
Listen, Ilya is my favorite, but Ryan (and Eric Bennett, too) are a different kind of special to my heart. It's difficult to explain, but it makes sense inside my head and that's all you need to know. That's what really matters.

"Maybe Troy would never be as good a person as Harris, but he could at least try to be as good a person as, like, Ilya."

After the Experience™ that was Tough Guy, the bar is so high that it just hit the Enterprise. Anyway, fingers crossed for this one.

I'm taking a break from Game Changers after the absolute delight that was book 3, to savor the marvelous sensation left in my heart by that wonderful book. At the same time, I'm picking something up from my TBR, that was long overdue. I'm so excited!

I'm honestly loving this. Ryan is fantastic, Wyatt is fantastic... AND ILYA JUST MADE AN ADORABLE APPEARANCE IN THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER??? LIKE???? What's there not to like, though. This book is fucking FEEDING me.
