Okay, I'll forgive Ms. Reid for that Shane Hollander slip-up in the previous chapter because the last one I finished had Ryan Price. Balance and all that.

The chapter I'm supposed to start right now opens with the words "Shane Hollander". And here I was having a good time so far...

"Too bad Chiron isn't here," Harris joked. "That would cheer everyone up."
Ilya's head shot up, eyes burning with shock and indignation. "Then Chiron would have been on the plane. What the fuck, Harris? He would have been so scared!"

Ryan Price being mentioned in the conversation about the plane debacle warms my heart in the weirdest of ways.
Listen, Ilya is my favorite, but Ryan (and Eric Bennett, too) are a different kind of special to my heart. It's difficult to explain, but it makes sense inside my head and that's all you need to know. That's what really matters.

"Maybe Troy would never be as good a person as Harris, but he could at least try to be as good a person as, like, Ilya."

After the Experience™ that was Tough Guy, the bar is so high that it just hit the Enterprise. Anyway, fingers crossed for this one.

I'm taking a break from Game Changers after the absolute delight that was book 3, to savor the marvelous sensation left in my heart by that wonderful book. At the same time, I'm picking something up from my TBR, that was long overdue. I'm so excited!

Funny, I could have sworn Scott's own teammates were there as well. But I get it, even from the inside, every other player just vanishes into nothing when Ilya enters the picture.

For legal purposes, this is (mostly) a joke. I do take anything in connection with Ilya personally though, but anyway I'm not being (entirely) serious.

It's vastly different from HR, but by this point during that read I was eye-rolling like it was an Olympic sport. But this time I'm finding the overall vibe so much more tolerable? I'm actually actively enjoying this?
Don't get me wrong, HR has to its advantage the fact that it has Ilya Rozanov there, but still... I'm appalled. I'm speechless. Kthxbai.
