Hope this gets better. So far I don't really like the main character

strange book - not what I expected ....can't decide if I like it yet.

Loooong book. I was ready for it to be over around page 400. I wish Goodreads had half stars(2.5). I didn't hate the book but I didn't love it like some of her other books. Lacked zing .. if you know what I mean.

I really wanted to like this book but it just missed the mark. I felt very little attachment to the main character; which frankly seemed under developed. Abelard and Cat were more tangible - since when do the sidekicks out shine the hero. If I could have understand Tara better maybe it would make it easier to wade through a confusing and possibly interesting newtopia.

Strange book. I'm still trying to get a grasp on the characters.

Not sure why this is taking me so long. May have to do with meeting the author & hearing the lecture & audience's questions. I feel like I've already read the book.
