i really want to finish this today but it’s been such a drag because with all the love i had for GtN this is so hard to get through when you have no idea what’s going on and Harrow is painfully delirious like, all the time

very informative and well written so far. slowly returning to my pagan roots from years ago here

i like it. it is genuinely beautiful and i’m sure it already set its changes in my life. but ffs the writing is so academic and dense and repetitive and for someone who reads academic writing 24/7 when i want a break this is not the first book i reach for, so finishing it will definitely take months

banger so far. i was told i wouldn’t understand anything but so far it is confusing but i can keep up?? but maybe it’s my experience with complicated fantasy systems (still my parents’ go-to GoT expert)

why do i always find niche books extremely relatable to the current moment of my life this book HURTS

took me way too long to catch on that this is about lesbians because of how esoteric this book tends to be with sharing information but like, cheers

picked back this feverish re-read before i see patti and if god permits get it signed. fitting with my recent themes of being artistically worn out and narrative cruelty. might be my most annotated book, nearly every page has scribbles. good to remember there is a kindred soul out there

part 1 down and i can already see and feel the appeal this is exquisite delicious storytelling

reading this because of patti smith 🤨 it’s so long and i’m pondering taking out the physical copy but i assume it’s gonna be huge

i will immediately move on to the 30 page sequel let’s hope this one doesn’t make me stare dramatically at a wall

this book is so off-putting like it’s well written it’s just icky

with every chapter the chilling feeling sets deeper and deeper

(ant with bag on stick) it is fascinating i just have a long standing animosity towards this man’s writing style

this is so once upon a river coded i’m very much enjoying
