I was not expecting so much humor in this book! The only other book I’ve read by Elizabeth Gaskell is Sylvia’s Lovers, which I also loved, but it was SO heavy and sad. It’s actually a little hard for me to believe Cranford was written by the same person because they feel totally opposite!

Listening on audio and loving every bit of it! Trying to pace myself since the library doesn’t have the next volume yet.

DNF’ing at 15%. I tried, but I can’t get into this one. Maybe it’s just the writing style or maybe it’s because it seems like it’s going to be heavy on the Hallmark style romance. The interactions feel unrealistic for people who have just met.
