I put this one on the back burner so I could read book club selection. I had to reread the beginning.

This book is hard to read due to the negativity. I may not finish it.

After the first 45 minutes of listening, I am not sure I will finish the book. It was recommended to me.

Slow to start

I restarted the book. I had missed too many important points probably due to a head cold.

If I had not heard the author speak, I would probably not finish the book. It is hard for me to think of it as historical fiction. The emphasis is definitely on fiction.

This one is a challenge to finish.

I find the writing style a bit frustrating knowing the author takes a lot of liberties while creating the story around what is documented in the Bible. Hopefully the stories will spur interest in people so they will read the Bible.

I wish I had read Infidel first to get ggecauthor's back story. Even though the book was written for Muslims, I found it very interesting and well written.

I enjoyed the book but was bothered by the hatred throughout.

I love mystery and intrique novels but this one was too far fetched for me. The protagonist made too many assumptions based on very little information. Of course, the assumptions led her to solving a mystery.

Scottoline does not get into the forensics which I enjoy.

I am enjoying the book mostly because I wonder how much truth there is in the struggle for women's rights during the period my grandmother was raising children and working. I think Vreeland could have developed the characters more fl make it a more enjoyable read.
