Normally I avoid cheesy romances, but i'm feeling masochistic tonight, so fuck it, let's party.

I feel like I will like this better as a physical book, not an audiobook. To enjoy this kind of PNR, I really need someone like the incompatible Robert Petkoff reading it to make it work. I felt like siri was reading it to me at times. So I will pick up where I left off when my copy arrives in my mailbox.

Started out interesting, but man that's some instant insta-love. I'm used to my PNR couples hating each other's guts for half the book at least. We'll see how this goes.

Lucy is a ridiculous, alcoholic twit who needs to be slapped across the face.

I'm loving this book and will probably give it 5 stars, but having a major scene I've been looking forward to narrated from the perspective of a little kid that doesn't know what's going on is making me want to rip my hair out. Just let Miriam take over the POV, ffs.

I thought I could take a break from the series and read something else, but nooooppee. I'm back on my bullshit. I'm too addicted to this series and my library had it on the shelf.

The start was a bit slow, but now that the plot had kicked into gear and Harry has been stolen, things are starting to get interesting. The homelander culture was a bit ill-defined, but the hillfolk are interesting so far.
It's also intriguing to see a captured heroine that isn't being pawed at by the male lead. And to add to that, she isn't being a screeching shrew, like a lot of "strong female characters" are.

Things are going way too well for halfway through the book. Shit is about to hit the fan. I know it.

How did they go from non-con fucking in a field and being tied up in a basement to acting like a normal couple and meeting the parents. What is happening?

Ok. this book is failing to make me sympathize with the creepy dude. Normally the non-con I read erotica has some sort of excuse (normally a bullshit one) to make the fucked up guy still likable. Yes, it gave him a heart condition and a bad family life, but fucking the pizza delivery lady was still too much.

She talks about wanting freedom, rides off on a horse, uses a bow and arrow, and now she fights a bear. This girl is basically Merida.

The mention of lotion and then the hose on the next page mixed into the captor situation had me giggling thinking of the scene from silence of the lambs.
