This is dated in the way that Ms Elkeles throws in the most unhinged sentences in the most mundane of scenes.

Never thought I'd be reading this book, but here I am

I knew this would be dated, but I didn't expect it to be THIS bad.

I don’t know who I am supposed to root for cause all the characters are genuinely despicable human beings.

Extremely mediocre so far, but entertaining enough.

DNFing. Not interesting enough. Too slow. Unlikeable, trophy main character. Trying to follow my gut more this year with reading instead of finishing things I don't want to. :)

My god this book is dense. Why am I reading entire lectures on translation? Get to the POINT. Feels like Kuang is just flexing her research but a lot of it should have been left out. That said, I'm enjoying everything else.

My next chapter is called 'do obama' ???
