Although I am enjoying this book, it is so interesting to read from the perspective of someone whose brain works so so differently from mine. Eleanor can be so self interested, but I feel like it comes from having to as a child for self preservation. She has a very hard time reading social cues and coming off negatively when she does not necessarily mean to. She’s very stuck up because everyone looks down on her.

“It would be like taking a stitch out of a tapestry. The whole thing could unravel.” She turned back to me. “I figure every little thing that happens is part of life or fate or God or whatever leading me to where I’m supposed to be.”
