I couldn’t finish this book. It’s so slow!

I like this book OK, but it doesn’t seem to be helping me in the communication area I need the most help in, so I’m going to opt for a different book on the subject.

I’m rereading this book for my book club. I remember I being kind of slow the first time I read it, but hopefully this time will be better. I’m in charge of the discussion, so I’ll have to pay attention! :-)

I had to switch to the Kindle version of this book. The narrator uses two different tones/inflections depending on whether she’s narrating for the male or female main character. The male narration is fine, but the female is so annoying. She speaks much slower, with long pauses and a lot of “breathy” endings. I couldn’t take it anymore! ;-)

This is such an excellent book! Not only is it helping me re prayer, it’s helping me in my relationship with God and His Word. I love how this book speaks to exactly where I am. It’s so good!

I didn’t finish this book in time for my book club discussion of it last night, but I’d like to finish it. It sure led to some great discussion!

I ended up DNFing this book at 57%. I just couldn’t get invested in the storyline. I love a good marriage of convenience story, but something was off. Maybe it was the narrator. I’m not sure. I’ll try another Tracie Peterson sometime.

I am having a hard time getting into this book. I don’t like any of the characters. I should probably give it a little longer since so many people loved this book, but I’ve already moved onto something else.

Have you read a book by Heidi Gray McGill? Her historical fiction series is one of the best! She just released a free audiobook to newsletter subscribers. Though I've already read the ebook, I just started the audiobook. I listen to a LOT of audiobooks and this narrator is one of the best. This book is so good!

I am thoroughly enjoying this book! It’s good!

I don’t know why I’m in such an audiobook slump, but I’m having the hardest time finding a book I thoroughly enjoy listening to. This one is fine, but it’s bugging me how often the character is asking themselves questions. Does that bug anyone else in books?

This book is hilarious! I’m enjoying every minute of reading it.

This is a LONG book. It’s interesting though. So far I’d give it 3.5-4 stars.

I’m having a hard time getting into this book. Part of it is the audio narration. I’ve read the other Nichole Van stories I’ve loved on Kindle. The thick Scottish accent is killing me on this one. Should I stick with it? Plus if the heroine digs her fingernails into her palm one more time, I might scream. 😂

I just got through the first chapter, but it’s not my cup of tea.

I read the first story, but I didn’t enjoy it that much. It’s told in the first person and while that doesn’t always bother me, it did in this book. This was my first Japanese book. At least I tried something new. Interestingly, that fits with the idea of that first story.

I had no idea how this plot worked, but I got sucked in during the first chapter. So good!

DNF. I liked this ok, but it just didn’t pull me in enough to keep going. I’m in an audiobook slump. I think my problem is that I’m trying to expand my taste and read more contemporary romance and I just don’t enjoy it. What I need is a good Regency romance audiobook. Suggestions?

DNF. Just couldn’t get into it.

DNF at 42%. It’s just not holding my interest.

I’m going to have to read the Kindle version of this book because I just can’t stand this narrator one more second.

Oh this book is so fun!!!

This book is SO GOOD! The writing is superb. If you haven’t read it, start now!

I need to pick this one back up. I’ve already learned a lot of great tips from this book.
