So when is this going to turn paranormal/time travel? So far we got some weird dreams and voices in head neither of which is usually paranormal. Throw in some child abuse, adult abuse, age gap (47 & 19)and bad writing....I am currently just waiting for the FL to find her brain and her backbone.

Considering the introductory quote and the prologue taken together, this is shaping up to be another misunderstanding trope filled romance. Let's see if I am right...

So, this is written in first person, only Vics pov and the writing is awful. Or is it just that Vic has a rotten mind and even rottener personality. It is very difficult, very uncomfortable to read. Did the writer do it on purpose or is it just their style?

Tell me I am not the only one who checked out the Queer Crossings soap wanting to watch it? And huffed when got confirmation it does not exist?

The author says it is a stand alone but the beginning is so messy, referencing previous books which makes for a difficult start. I will probably have to drop it or read other books first....and I don't want to!
