The easiest way to scare me is by having a character doing something completely normal like reading a book or listening to music, and then having it distort. I am so terrified but oh so intrigued

Was hoping to get really f*cked up with this book, and it has made me cry that one time but I'm getting bored. I'm also dreading some character deaths. And I'm looking forward to the end? I heard the two limbs meet or something like that

I am so sick with anxiety omg. I keep looking on tiktok and YouTube for content on the books while trying to avoid spoilers. This book is tortuous. Also I feel like there is so much going over my head and that does not help the anxiety :/

I love Kazuo Ishiguro so much and just reading the first few pages makes me nostalgic for his writing. Can't wait to get deeper into the book
