Oh. I genuinely feel disappointed that we don't get to experience the MAIN PREMISE of this novel. Hopefully it gets better soon.

"but only books in the public domain"
Hahaha, what a way to get around copyright restrictions with a concept such as this. I love it.

This may just make my top recommendations list. It's just so well written and perfectly paced.

A powerful, Kick ass woman in the middle of a murder mystery? This is such a page turner. Loving the characters and plot so far!

This went from fun to tedious real quick. The first couple rings were interesting, but now it feels like we're just adding more hurdles for sake of length rather than story progression.

Such scandal and intrigue.

It's already getting good. This book is a page-turner and is proud to be one.

When in Hell, bring a friend to do intermittent sanity checks. Duly noted.

I am absolutely loving the literary references. From Dante's Inferno to the story of Orpheus, this is an absolute nerd trip. I need to find more books like this.

I see what's happening here and I'm so ready for it.

I have a good feeling about this one.

Sooooo, I might have read the prologue (all of two pages) the second I got the book, despite having multiple other books in progress, and now I'm so ready to just dive in. Debating whether to have self control or to say life's too short to wait.

Oh boy. There's the way that people act in difficult times and then there's weird / awkward robot dialogue that makes people act like they're pretending to be human. Also, how many POVs are we going for here? At least 6?

Ooooo, this is so good so far. Realistic mythology in a magic system-based school just scratches that perfect itch.

A lot of moving parts, but I'm curious to see where this goes.

And now it's a mystery? Where is any of this actually going?

This book really should be a must-read for all people.

Oh, this is a WHOLE WORLD, isn't it? It does a great job of doing a cold open without leaving the reader completely lost at the magic and politics and everything. So far, kudos.

If this ending is what I think it is, then that's gonna be super underwhelming.

I feel like this story starts at the beginning and the end and is working its way to the middle, but some of these sections don't feel related yet. I'm hoping it all becomes clear for the ending, but I'm not sure how it'll all get wrapped at this rate.

The perfect amount of unsettling...

This is such an intense page turner. Can't wait to finish this book and start another by this author!

It's been a while since I found a book that was this great of a page-turner. I can't imagine this getting any less than 5 stars at this rate.

I am loving the social experiment of this novel so far. I have a feeling that the end is going to look like Ethan really does [spoilers] or something of similar consequence.

This is going to be one of the Real(TM) books, isn't it
