( continued ) " it is the hills of central Germany, the Harz, the Thuringian forest, the Weser mountains, that to me represent nature, that belong to me and have fashioned me."

"In my imagination I live a good deal in nature, in the glades near Friedrichsbrunn...I lie on my back in the grass, watch the clouds sailing in the breeze across the blue sky, and listen to the rustling of the woods. Its remarkable how greatly these memories of childhood affect one's whole outlook: it would seem to me impossible and unnatural for us to have lived either up in the mountains or by the sea."

"You can listen to silence, Reuven. I've begun to realize that you can listen to silence and learn from it. It has a quality and a dimension all its own."

"I learned a long time ago, Reuven, that a blink of an eye in itself is nothing. But the eye that blinks, that is something. A span of life is nothing. But the man who lives that span, he is something. He can fill that tiny span with meaning, so its quality is immeasurable though its quantity may be insignificant...A man must fill his life with meaning, meaning is not automatically given to life."

"Reuven, as you grow older you will discover that the most important things that will happen to you will often come as a result of silly things, as you call them -- 'ordinary things' is a better expression. That is the way the world is."

"I should have told her about a book that meant something to me the way that book meant something to her, because I can think of no better way to meet a girl than to see her through the eyes of the story she loves best."

"Isn't this what all the children's books and movies are always about? How even if the task seems impossible or you're too small or you don't have the right whatever, you're still supposed to try? Until you get to high school and suddenly you're supposed to choose a safe path. A path that won't take you too far from home. A path that isn't too risky. A path that has health insurance and a 401(k)."

"We see our interests portrayed in bold relief -- our questions asked better than we can ask them, our problems pictured better than we can picture them by ourselves, our fantasies realized beyond our fondest dreams, our fears confirmed in horrors more horrible than our nightmares, our hopes fulfilled past our ability to yearn or desire. In literature we catch reality in a mirror."

"In great literature -- poetry and fiction -- we see ourselves, our friends, our enemies, the world around us."

Ugh Edward keeps changing his mind whether or not he and Bella should be friends???? And Bella is not helping 😭

Ok, starting more breakups between me and my book girlie's on here 🫣😅
Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Also I can't get over that her nickname is Belly 🤦‍♀️

The only relationships that I'm like in love with is Susannah and Laurels undying friendship. And the fun idea to meet up every single summer, just them and their children, is so beautiful! These are goals 100%

I'm not 100% sure what team I'm on yet lol, but I think im leaning towards team Jeremiah :)
