i don't really give a shit about the author/editor's opinions, i think him starting a book on early 20th century appalachian coal mining with random strays directed at china and russia is fucking weird, so i'm glad he mostly lets the documents he chooses speak for themselves. there are a couple so far that i'm confused as to why he included (anti-socialist and pro-foreign war?), but mostly interesting stuff.
