Oh it’s gotten so much better. 4 I think.

2.5 - 3 so far.

I have found it hard to keep track of the characters besides the main family members of Zach… it’s interesting but a lot more boring than I expected over a quarter in. It’s interesting enough. The who dunnit and learning new details is the most interesting parts to me. I know the background knowledge of other characters is probably needed but I’m finding it hard to pay attention to. May be due to audio book.

Just not sure how I feel about Patrick’s storytelling right now. I’m finding it pretty boring and slightly hard to follow :/ I don’t think the prologue of Day Nothing kind of reads similar.. but a bit easier.. so maybe I just need to give it some time..

1.5 - 2 … I don’t know if I like the writing and Luke’s personality is my nightmare … idk if I can continue reading this

5 stars. Don’t think that’s gonna change by the end but we’ll see.

4 so far. Super interesting prologue, though a little cheesy there at the end.

3 - 3.5 so far. Funny ‘teenage’ humor in the prologue. Excited to hopefully see it get better and how the writer does with writing about Ireland/Irish culture.

4 - 5. I’m excited to read the long game again to see if I find it better now that I’ve read heated rivalry. Idk. I think I find this book more relatable in ways? Idk. We’ll see.

Have to read for one of my classes. It’s fine. Some interesting points. Says a lot of the same thing though. 1.5 - 2.

4.5 right now. Actually prefer this writing so far to the long game but that could be because I read everything out of order like a lunatic.

3 - 3.5, so far. Extremely slow. Obviously very literary fiction. Not plot heavy. There is obviously a meaning to everything being said and I’m guessing/hoping it will all come together in the end. Hoping more happens though at some point.

4 - 4.5. The only thing is dislike about this book is just how literal the writing style can be sometimes. It’s like the writer is telling you exactly how you are supposed to think about a certain thing or doesn’t leave things open to interpretation. I think that is just something stylistically I am learning I’m not a fan of.

Ilya is BACK AND ENGAGED!!!!!!! I’m dying and hope the rest of the book is still good. I’m only like half way done I feel. This is the fastest I’ve ever read a book in my life. Over halfway done in 32 hours.. pretty good for me.

5. I don’t understand why Ilya hasn’t told Shane he’s in therapy… and I think the longer he draws it out the bigger issue it will be with Shane… not loving that…

Is there foreshadowing of them opening up their relationship?! If it is I hope it’s with Ryan and Fabian.. just saying… 4.5 - 5.

More foreshadowing about Ilya getting in an accident.. Shane may have an ED… hoping what happens moving forward isn’t anti climactic… we shall see… 4 - 5.
