Still having a tough time with this one. May give up soon. Don’t recommend!

It’s interesting but so depressing. I’m trying to finish it, but I may have to put it down for a while and focus on something more positive and hopeful!

So good right from the start.....

Halfway through and they changed time period again and started a list of ancestors. Completely lost me! I even searched for a family tree to make it all easier to understand, but there wasn't one provided so I slammed the book and quit reading. I never quit reading a book! So disappointing. Don't waste your time on this one.

Gave up! Couldn’t put up with the lack of punctuated dialogue and the overuse of pronouns. I found it difficult to know who was speaking and to know which character I was reading about.
