So far so good. The recipes throughout are fun. I like how the narrator Nina is learning the story the same way we are. It’s all wrapped in frustrating mystery.

I sure hope there’s some sort of redemption arc for Nesta because she sure is a miserable bitch.

The wording in this book always makes me think there are large group “pauses”. Like everyone is quiet all at once and thinking all at once and pondering all at once. Kinda makes me laugh.

You know in Dark Knight when you think you’re at the climax of the movie and it’s over and then it goes again? That’s what this is like.

Ok, that was so good. And so real. Completely took me by surprise, but it was a good kind of “Oooohhhh!”. And what an amazing and wonderful explanation, and what a great way to remind us that some of these problems are real and that real people struggle everyday and it helps us understand and empathize with that. Maybe my favourite chapter so far.

Ahh, I’m loving this book so much. The series really does get better and better.

The book was moving slow until this part. Sad actually. I was trying to come up with theories that just don’t work with this page.

Finally getting time to read this. I started over and now I can’t put it down. I like this book so far. It’s not deep or heavy mind blowing life changing literature, but it’s fun. And we need fun in the world.

I’m a little more invested, but this is a hard book to get through.

This book is literally making me feel cold. I’ve just grabbed my heated blanket and decided to make soup for supper.

This book is like a fever dream. The scenes keep changing and the descriptions are a little disorienting.

Now I realize that this book talks about the Jeju Massacre and my heart feels heavy. This is gonna be rough. The last book I read that contained details about what happened that April 3rd gave me nightmares for at least a month.
