i get the idea of creating tension by telling us what to look out for and then it happening but also…it’s a horror novel…i know that shit is gonna happen…here comes a big twist!

despite relentless attempts to prove (mostly unsuccessfully) he can make a character sound realistically gen z by using slang, marcus reveals his hand as a millennial on page 68 by saying “non-ironically” . unironically bro. i like the book so far tho i’m just hating
