Would highly recommend if you want to start reading in French. It was fairly easy to read at level A2 and learn some new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. It is also pretty short and has lots of pictures. I like the illustration style. Adele reminds me a bit of Wednesday Adams.

Maybe, it’s because I didn’t read the first 2 books, but I don’t understand why she is so mean to her cat, Ajax.

I had my doubts as the characters are all foxes, but wow, loved this as an adult reader. The stories were nicely connected and really captivating.

I enjoyed this sci-fi vampire story and Butler‘s last published book. Given her penchant for writing series, I imagine Butler would have written more books about Shori and her symbionts, had she not died. I would have liked to have revisited the world in future installments. Hope HBO does a good job with the series.
