unfortunately tragic

last night i read the part where charlie let algernon out of his cage at the chicago convention, when algernon ran to the bathroom and was staring at himself in the mirror. the feeling in my body when i read that part was comparable to being on the frontlines. i am completely distraught and entirely upset.
