Dunk and Egg are heading to The Wall before they meet John the Fiddler. Egg goes missing in a sept but reveals his identity which saves him. John ends up being a rebellious leader called Daemon II Blackfyre. A royal army comes and dismantles the rebellion.

Honestly wtf how is this it? 3 separate stories into 1 book. And yet it’s still not done? Like what else do they do?

Pt.2
After the tourney, Dunk and Egg serve a knight, Ser Eustace Osgrey who happened to be a Targaryen loyalist. Dunk duels a dude for putting up a dam to stop a stream from coming down. Dunk wins by drowning Ser Lucas. Also Dunk is infatuated with Lady Rohanne (the red widow). And he got sad she married someone else and took a chunk of her red hair so he can remember her.

Pt.1
Ser Dunk The Tall has Egg as a squire. Turns out to be Aegon Targaryen. To prove Dunk is a night, he has to go through the Trial of the Seven. So 6 other nights fight alongside him, one of those is Prince Maekar Targaryen. During the battle Maekar throws a brutal blow to his brother (on the opposing side) Prince Baelor.
