I’ve removed my reading goal because I’m going for quality > quantity this year, and I’m going to try to read the entire 1257 pages of Les Misérables this year and if I prioritise the number of books over the books I’m never going to get around to reading it in its entirety.

I know I’m just at the beginning but WOW. This book is something. It’s so chilling. I was hooked from the first page.

This book is absolutely fascinating. Not at all what I thought it would be about, but it’s so captivating and I don’t know what to think of anything

Was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I am. It feels like it was written by a lesbian in the 19th century who can only hint at love to women with slight obsession and subtle remarks. It describes perfectly the rage one may feel trapped in gender roles while telling a captivating story. I’m only about 1/6 of the way through but so far this book is incredible.
