Yay me for finally getting after the 50% mark
There are some good moments but…
Why did the spice felt like it’s 100 hours long? It also gave me an ick (the edging was the opposite of hot???) and why so many spicy scenes one after the other? 😔 also, the spice didn’t totally fit with the characters/their relation at this point

What is his baggage, pls, will we get to know it before another 100 pages 😩

Ok, we’re getting somewhere, finally in chapter 18 there was a glimpse of MMC’s backstory but I’m still not fully sold on the vibes here 😔 and 37% of almost 600 pages is 200 pages. 200 pages to only start getting into the story and liking the characters is too much 😬

Ok it picked up but I still don’t get why he’s such a jerk 😬

More than 100 pages in and it’s still just so surface level only 😬 when will we get to know any kind of backstory for the main characters?

Things making me confused so far:
-why being paired with flamingos is so uncool?!
-how the hell did they gain so many followers literally overnight?
-I don’t understand why they are “enemying” this much

Also, the amount of times he checks out her ass 🙄

It doesn’t have the same effect on me like the other MQ books I’ve read 😭😭😭

I have 458 highlights. Well, now I’m sad I didn’t get to full 500. I did hold off on highlighting some part so maybe when I do a reread I will end up having 500 highlights

I never once mentioned Jude in my reading updates and it’s a huge oversight. I have no idea if she will be getting her own book but I hope she does

I swear this is the only book I not only pay attention to chapter titles (I srsly never do!!!) but highlight them. Most of them.

Formatting is terrible from NetGalley to kindle but it doesn’t stop me from highlighting pretty much every other sentence. First page and I’m smiling constantly 🥹 and omg Ava and Finn, my babies🩷🩷🩷 I might have to refrain from adding updates from this read cause it will take me 40h to read it with all the highlighting and adding updates every minute 😂

I’m hooked and the writing is good and this is emotionally wrecking in the best way but I just got an ARC I am next level super extra immensely excited for so I’m pausing everything else

Omg the game drama. Too many words yet again and it all gives me such cringe that right now I’m fearing if in the last 10% my rating will drop to 1 star 😬😂
