I just want it to be over but I refuse to DNF it!

Still going. This book is not slow burning it is glacial in its pace.

Slow so far but interesting enough to keep going. Not a fan of the authors habit of the MC constant internal monologue of asking herself a million questions and ending lots of sentences with “right?” Also cramming in occasional same sex romances references in the book that so far seem to have no purpose or reason other than to check off a publisher box is annoying. Still the writing is flippant and amusing.

I lied. It’s so bad I can’t finish it.

Cookie is a dumb name for a character and so far she’s extremely annoying. Kaysar doesn’t have many endearing qualities so far either. I expected better from Showalter. This book reads very stilted. I am going to finish it but I don’t have high hopes for improvement.

It’s not a good sign when I’ve been at 88% for over 2 weeks and just can’t seem to pick it up to finish it. Maybe this week...

I’m having a real problem getting into this book. It is SLOWWWWWWWW. Now she’s breaking down the federal republic and discussing how a monarchy is so much better, it’s pretty pathetic really. I’m about 1 chapter away from DNF-Ing this if she doesn’t get off politics and start to move this damn story along.

I can’t get into this one. I find I’m having to force myself to pick it up.

It’s ok but I could do without all the Strike/Robin personal angst.

I take it back they are all losing again. It’s depressing and hopeless

Finally some wins for the good guys.

Great so far but I’m getting irritated that the good guys never catch a break or seem to win anything

Unfortunately it’s kind of boring so far…

They are super mean to Shade and I’m starting to get really annoyed at the slow pace of this book. I like the storyline but I’m getting exasperated at Pax’s aloofness compounded with Shade being hot for all of them. The story is not progressing and I’m starting to get bored.

Good so far but I’m not sure where this is going. The whole “it’s ok if she’s with any/all of us” is a bit too weird and kinda gross to me. I’m hoping the author doesn’t go down the let’s be a pack of swingers route. I prefer true love stories where people don’t share.

This book is weird. I’m not sure what to think of it.

Bummer sequel to a great series (book 1 and 1.5 were 4-5 stars). I did not buy the unrealistic and frankly quite creepy love story between these step siblings (GROSS). Fallon turned me off as Madoc’s love interest and the book felt like a rehash of Bully.
How many high#choosers really find their soulmates in the halls of passing period? The whole story felt forced and unbelievable.

I found

36% in and I am SO SICK of the Mia Lara chapters and even the Grey chapters! I started this series because it was about Rhen and Harper. Mia Lara is so freaking annoying and BORING. Grey is turning into a sap, I used to like him but now he is getting on my nerves too. So far this book is a huge disappointment.
